Association of Anatomical Pathology Technology (AAPT)
Anatomical pathology technologists working in hospitals and public mortuaries across the United Kingdom are recognized as professionals by the Association of Analytical Pathology Technology. All significant parties involved in anatomical pathology technology agree that the AAPT, which was established in 2003 with assistance from the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), Royal College of Pathologists, and Royal Society of Public Health( RSPH), is the profession's leading voice. Although the AAPT advises obtaining 50 CPD credits annually, it believes that the condition is self-regulated.
