Association of International Accountants
The Association of International Accountants (AIA) is a premier professional organisation for accountants and finance professionals with a long history of quality in professional education and a thriving global membership. AIA, headquartered in the United Kingdom, has a long history of enhancing professional skills and ethical standards across the industry; its members are recognised, respected, and regulated. Their acclaimed qualifications portfolio, stringent membership requirements, and the publication of research, best practise, and skills guidance demonstrate AIA's dedication to preserving the public interest and developing professional standards. Members are bound by the AIA Constitution which includes regulatory requirements and a Code of Ethics. Members must accomplish 120 units over a three-year period, 60 of which must be verifiable. Every year, members must complete a minimum of 20 units of verifiable CPD. Members must maintain their online CPD records as well as complete and submit an Annual CPD Declaration (available through the secure members' area) by October 1st of each year. AIA will audit a sample of members on a regular basis to ensure compliance. Members possessing a practising certificate who have not met the standards will be unable to renew their certificate.
