Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
The CIPD is the professional body for workplace specialists. They have been supporting better work and working lives for over 100 years by creating professional standards for HR and people development, as well as encouraging positive improvements in the workplace. With offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Middle East, and Asia, the CIPD is the preferred career advisor for more than 150,000 members worldwide. They are the only organisation in the world that can provide individual HR and L&D professionals Chartered status, and their independent research and insights make them credible consultants to governments and companies. The CIPD provides online services such as a CPD Map and a CPD Review to help members track needed CPD commitments. The CIPD does not specify the number of CPD hours that must be performed, however they have introduced a policy that states that CIPD members must undertake CPD and they must submit evidence of compliance with this policy upon request.
