Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE)
The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), founded in 1906, is the professional organisation representing the UK plumbing and heating industry. They unite practitioners, consultants, specifiers, designers, public health engineers, lecturers, trainers, and trainees. The CIPHE has 7,500 members, including more than 150 manufacturers and distributors. The CIPHE advises that members get 30 CPD hours per year. There is maximum number of hours that can be claimed for CPD: -7 for a full day -3.5 for a half day From January 2019, all registered members of Engineering Council as EngTech, IEng, or CEng must provide their CPD record to the CIPHE when requested. Membership registrants will be picked at random and notified when it is time to submit their records, which will typically be for the previous year only.
