About Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA)

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is the only chartered professional organisation in the UK devoted to training, advancing, and regulating actuaries working both domestically and abroad. Over 30, 000 members are governed and represented by the IFoA, which also monitors their actuarial education at all levels of certification and professional growth. For our members, we establish requirements for exams, ongoing professional development, professional codes, and disciplinary standards. Members of the IFoA are required to complete 15 hours of CPD, which must include 2 hours of professional skills training content.
