Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS)
The Institute of Biomedical Science( IBMS), which has over 21,000 members across 74 nations, is the top organsation for researchers, assistants, and students working in the field. They have been committed for more than a century to advancing biomedical science in all facets of healthcare and to giving patients and the general public the best care possible. IBMS adheres to the HCPC's recommendations. Biomedical scientists must maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of their CPD activities, show that their activities are diverse and pertinent to their current and future practice, explain how this has improved their practice and service delivery quality, and describe how it benefits the service user. IBMS members must write reflective practice for all CPD activities to demonstrate their learning and development in order to adhere to HCPC and Science Council standards.
