Institute of Cast Metals Engineers (ICME)
The Institute of Cast Metals Engineers (ICME) is a membership that includes everyone working in the supply chain related to the cast metals, foundry, and patternmaking industries. They include researchers, students, industry suppliers, foundry workers, design engineers, metallurgists, moulders, patternmakers, method technicians, and method engineers. The institute's mission is to connect people from all industries and levels, provide networking opportunities, technical knowledge, and opportunities for professional development in order to assist members in maximizing their professional opportunities. The Institute is a recognized End Point Assessment Organization (EPA) for apprentices in the industry and for the professional development of individuals. They want to be recognized as the organization's leader in UK. By assisting members in locating pertinent training programs that can result in internationally recognized qualifications as well as technical short courses, ICME members support professional development. Additionally, they can put their members in touch with colleges and training facilities that provide a range of training programs.
