Additionally, they oversee and monitor more than 12,000 firms in our capacity as an improvement regulator, and we hold all ICAEW members and students to the highest levels of professional competency and conduct. ICAEW is a member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide, a global network with 750,000 members in 190 countries, who promotes the knowledge and abilities of chartered accountants on a global scale. There are no predetermined hours or points to earn because the ICAEW does not mandate how much CPD members must complete. Members however are obliged to invest in their CPD, and ICAEW will check a sample annually, targeting more frequently high risk categories.
