Institute of Highway Engineers's main goal is for people to achieve and maintain professional recognition. They offer opportunities for professional development, support, and leadership. Since 1972 they keep record of engineers and technicians with the Engineering Council, from 1989 they also have been accrediting academic courses. By joining IHE, members can benefit from their extensive knowledge of the highways and consult their skilled mentors, reviewers, and advisors. IHE promotes individual support in achieving their professional development goals and recognizes CPD as a crucial value for membership grades.
