The Institution of Structural Engineers was once The Concrete Institute - which was established in 1908. They have been known as the Institution of Structural Engineers since 1922. The ISE upholds standards, shares knowledge, promotes structural engineering, and gives the profession a voice. The amount of CPD hours completed by a member varies depending on their registration grade, level of experience, role and responsibility, and future career ambitions. Members typically complete 30 CPD hours each year on average.
