Royal Academy of Engineering (RAENG)
The national engineering school of the United Kingdom is called the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng). Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who rose to the position of first senior fellow and served in that capacity until his passing, helped establish the Academy in June 1976 as the Fellowship of Engineering. On May 17, 1983, the Fellowship was incorporated annd given a royal charter, and on March 16, 1992, it was transformed into the Royal Academy of Engineering. The charter and related statutes and regulations( as amended from time to time) govern it.
