Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC)
Society of Colorists and Dyers offers a variety of internationally recognized coloration courses and credentials, making it the best provider of color education. Their goal is to spread knowledge of color science throughout the evolving world. The SDC, which was established in 1884, was given a Royal Charter in 1963. The Chartered Colourist status can only be granted by the SDC, which is still the only this kind of organisation in the world. The SDC serves as a hub for community engagement and networking among the coloration industry and has members all over the world. A minimum of 30 hours of approved continuing professional development is required, of which a record will be kept by the Society. This will be reviewed annually and must be performed by SDC members who hold Chartered Colourist status in order to maintain their status. Members will not be permitted to use the title CCol if they fail to present this proof.
