The British Psychological Society (BPS)
The British Psychological Society is a recognized charity that promotes excellence and ethical practice in the fields of psychology, education, and application. It serves as the UK's representative body for psychology and psychologists. They set high standards for research, education, and knowledge and share their knowledge to raise public awareness as a society that supports and promotes the growth and application of psychology for the greater good. Members of the society should set aside specific time for CPD (for both formal and informal activities). The Society is aware that many members have asked for advice on the minimum amount of time required for CPD, even though it recognizes that the learning outcome is more significant than the time spent. Between half and 1 day per month is likely the minimum amount of time required for participation in CPD.
